How do I create, edit and delete a component list?

fHere's how you can create, edit and delete the component list in.

Note: If you are part of an organization, users with the role of a leader, manager or an admin are able to create, edit or delete the component list.

Create a component list

Here's the three different ways in which you can create a component list from.

From the component tab click on the + icon.

Another way is from the component tab. Click on the drop down menu and click where it says, + Create list.

The third way to create a component list is while saving the component. Under where it says, select component list, click where it says, + Create list.

Once the  Create component list window pops up, enter the following details:

  • The list name
  • Select whether you want the component to be made available only to you, only to the project you're working on or only to the organization
  • Note: If you're part of an organization account and you want to be able to freely share the same components across different projects, select, Only this organization. If it's just you, select Only me, and if you only want the components to be available for a certain project, select Only this project.
  • Hit Save to complete.

Edit the component list

If there's ever a time you need to rename the component list or update the settings of whether you want the component to be made available only to you, the project or to the organization, simply follow the steps below.

From the component tab, select the list you want to edit.

Click the settings icon.

Delete component list

  1. To delete a component list, head to the component tab, select the list you want to delete and click the trash icon.
  2. Hit Delete to delete the component list.
